Cumberland River Drift Boat Trips

The Cumberland River Tailwater flows out of Wolf Creek Dam Near Jamestown, KY.  The hydro electric dam pulls water off the bottom of Lake Cumberland, which gives the trout cold water year round.  This also allows for an incredible diversity of aquatic insects for trout to feast on.

All trips on the Cumberland River are taken in a 2022 Hyde Pro Series XL Low profile drift boat.  The boat is 16 feet long and nearly 6 feet wide.  Drift Boats allow us to regulate our speed in order to get the perfect drift for our flies.

The generation schedules on the Cumberland can be a little tricky to understand if you're new to the river. Generation schedules are considered for every trip we plan, but sometimes the Corp and TVA stray from their predicted schedule due to increased demand for electricity. This is rare but it can happen.
If the generation schedule changes or becomes unfavorable before your trip, Ben will contact you to discuss the best course of action.
